A nice Tamizh song, which describes the life and its Anichayas. Also we physicists look for the ubiquitous strings with some wave nature. Most of the times, I wonder about the stable structures, I mean the buildings, which are built near the heavy vehicles road, or nearby the rails and the factories with tons of machines which weigh tons. I awe at their stabilities, despite of their high amplitude noisy environments. And of course, the trains on the rails are also a big surprise for me. Here comes a macroscopic event, I was traveling on Deutsche Bahn's IC2249 on 30th september 2008. All the sudden I remembered to exploit the SMS (Sudden Motion Sensor) of my macbook and an app called SeisMac comes in handy! I was just having a little fun with the vibrations on several cases! Please read the wave modulations yourself with your imagination!
These snapshots are a few sample from the sampled events for 4 seconds.
And I was not exploiting completely by changing the buffer time and other few preferences available with SeisMac. But it was fun! It may not be the vibration what the wheels feel. But it is quite a manifestation of several parameters which my macbook felt.

- Another ICE was in the opposite run.
- Train was passing by another station.
- On a tunnel.
- Going on a steel bridge
- People boarding on train, when it was stopped at Hannover Hauptbahnhof. You see the small vibrations which shows the movement of the people.

nice post, I was surprised by the fact that along Y axis(I think thats the forward direction) the acceleration is less. I think thats the direction where u have max acceleration , but in a steady rate.
